Avhandling / Av_handling (Dissertation / Through_action) was publicly defended by Malin Arnell on Saturday September 3 2016 at 1:00pm–5:00pm in KTH R1 Experimental Performance Space, Drottning Kristinas väg 51, Stockholm
The public defense started with a small intervention by Malin Arnell, after which the chairperson, Lena Hammergren opened the public defense. After this Malin Arnell shared a brief summary of the doctoral work. Thereafter, opponent Teresa María Díaz Nerio gave a performative response and engaged in a discussion with Malin Arnell. Then the examination committee, Cecilia Lagerström, Nina Lykke, Nanako Nakajima shared their different performative responses and questions. This was followed by a performative response and questions from external expert Camila Marambio. During the public intervention substitute Tova Gerge shared a performative response, and the audience put questions to Malin Arnell. After a long break the examination committee made the announcement that the doctoral work Avhandling / Av_handling (Dissertation / Through_action) had passed.
