Malin Arnell, Fia Backström, and Imri Sandström re-engage and re-activate the process, methods, practice, and materials that were part of their joint exhibition Kapitel, Kaput, Kapital, Kapitulera, Capitulum: header of a text and a part of the arm – a collaboration among others (again) / Kapitel, Kaput, Kapital, Kapitulera, Capitulum: huvudpunkt av en text och en del av armen – ett samarbete bland annat (2014) at Index – The Swedish Contemporary Art Foundation, Stockholm. The artists’ shared desire to understand what is most elemental—and therefore often taken for granted—and the political dynamics that determine the possibilities for participation, formed the starting point for the collaboration. In an attempt to avoid distinguishing between the negotiation, production, and presentation of the work, the gallery was open to the public while the work was in progress.
